Our founder Samuel Austin Hitchcock envisioned Hitchcock Free Academy as one of the region’s first free public high schools, and due to the shared vision and generosity of a small group of people, Hitchcock was built in 1855. More than a century later, we continue to rely on the generosity of new generations of donors to keep us going and proudly noted our 70th anniversary in 2026.
Thank you in advance for your generous support of Hitchcock Free Academy. Your donation helps us to cover operational costs, enabling us to continue enriching lives with educational, recreational, and cultural experiences. It also preserves a legacy of enhancing lives in the simplest but most vital ways: connection to one another, lifelong learning, and shared experiences.
A donation to Hitchcock is a gift to your community, and one that keeps on giving.
Hitchcock was built by donors passionate about bettering their community, and its legacy will continue as long as there are donors like you.
